Minor Characters

There are two types of
characters who do not play
in the major portions of the
text.
They are "less developed"
in the text. Minor characters
those figures who fill out
the story but who do not figure
prominently in it. And there are incidental characters in fiction as well. These characters are even less developed throughout the story.

Example

In the book Charlotte's Web, the rat Templeton, is a minor character. So are many of the other farm animals. Billy Bibbit, Scanlon, and Harding are minor characters in One Flew Over the Cuckcoo's Nest
